Hotel Rudra Continental

Hotel Rudra Continental is tucked away in the Kenfield Compound, specifically at house number 70 in the Tallital area of Nainital. Living and working up here in the hills is different than the plains. The air is better, but everything moves a bit slower. Our place is close enough to the lake and the bus stand that you can walk, but far enough that it stays a bit quieter at night. We’ve had this building for years. It’s an old structure with a lot of character, though we try to keep things updated as much as we can. The rooms have views of the hills which people always seem to like. It is a family-run sort of thing. You’ll usually see one of us at the front desk or checking on the kitchen. We don't have those fancy automated systems; we prefer talking to our guests directly. Winters get quite cold here, so we spend a lot of time making sure the blankets are thick and there is hot water. During the summer season, it gets really crowded with tourists, so we stay on our toes. It isn't a five-star resort, but it's a solid place to rest after a day of walking around the mall road or hiking. We just want people to enjoy the mountains like we do. We serve simple meals in our small dining area, mostly comfort food that helps after a long journey up the mountain roads. It's just home for us.
