Hotel Rio Chandigarh

Hotel Rio Chandigarh is actually located over at House Number 90 in Village Kansal. It’s in the Mohali district, near the Nay Gayo post office. Being in a village area means it’s a bit different from the noisy city centers. We have a regular house setup that we’ve turned into a place for guests to stay. It’s a bit more personal that way. We live and work around here, so we know the streets and the local shops like the back of our hands. Managing the hotel involves a lot of laundry, cleaning rooms, and making sure the water is running right. We don't have a big fancy lobby with a fountain. It’s just a front desk where we sit and wait for people to arrive. Sometimes it’s quiet and other days we have every room full. We have to keep track of everything in our ledgers. It’s a simple life. We talk to the neighbors and the people passing through. Most of the folks who stay here are looking for a place that isn't too expensive. We try to keep the rooms tidy and the atmosphere calm. It’s a lot of work keeping a building in good shape, especially with the weather changes. We handle the bookings mostly over the phone or just people walking in. It’s a straightforward way to earn a living and we’ve been doing it this way for quite some time.
