Hotel Mayfair Lagoon

You can find us at Plot No-G/A 63 in Section 5 of the Defence Colony. This is in Niladri Vihar, which is part of the Chandrasekherpur area in Bhubaneswar. It’s a quieter part of the city compared to the main markets. The plot is a good size, and we’ve been here in Orissa for quite a while. The neighborhood has a lot of trees and it feels a bit more relaxed. Our building isn't a giant skyscraper. It fits in with the houses and other small buildings around it. Inside, things are kept simple. We have a front desk and some rooms that we look after. It’s more of a local feel than those big chain hotels you see in the movies. We do our own cleaning and make sure the place is decent for whoever comes by. The staff is local, so we can tell you where the best shops are or how to get around the city. Sometimes the rain in Bhubaneswar is really heavy and we have to make sure the drains are clear. We don’t have a big marketing team writing these things for us. It’s just us. We like the location because it’s easy for people to reach but still feels tucked away from the main traffic. It’s just a regular place run by regular people who live nearby. We usually have the radio playing quietly in the background while we work in the mornings.
