Hotel Maurya

Hotel Maurya is located over at A-4 in the Park View Apartment area. We are in Ward No.-2, right in Mehrauli. It’s a busy part of New Delhi, but being near the park gives us a bit of a break from the constant noise. Running a hotel in an apartment setup is different than a big block building. It feels a bit more like a home, which I think people like. We spend a lot of our day checking people in and making sure the rooms are actually ready. Linens need washing, floors need scrubbing, and there’s always a lightbulb that needs changing somewhere. Mehrauli is an old place with a lot of history, so we get people coming through who are interested in the local sights. We keep things simple here. We don't have a massive lobby with gold statues or anything. It’s just a clean place to stay while you’re in the city. The staff lives nearby, so we know the shortcuts and where to get the best snacks on the street. Sometimes the power goes out in the summer, but we have our backups ready. It’s a lot of manual work, honestly. Keeping track of bookings on the ledger and making sure everyone has what they need for the night. We’ve been at this address for a while now and we know the neighbors well. It’s just a local business trying to do things right for the guests. We focus on the basics like clean sheets and a quiet night's sleep for anyone who stops by.
