Hotel Management Institue

We are over at A-146 in New Ashok Nagar. If you know New Delhi, you know this area is always moving and can be a bit of a maze. Our place, the Hotel Management Institute, is right in the middle of it. We spend most of our time teaching young people how to actually work in a hotel. It isn't just about reading books. We do a lot of practical things like setting tables and figuring out how to talk to guests when things go wrong. The office is a bit small and the furniture is nothing special, but it gets the job done. We have been at this address for several years now. You can usually find us here from early morning until the sun goes down. The students come from different parts of the city, some on the metro and some on bikes. We like the neighborhood because there is always good food nearby for lunch. It gets a bit noisy with the traffic outside, but we just close the windows and keep going. We don’t have a big corporate team. It is just a few of us who have worked in hotels before and want to share what we know. Sometimes the air conditioner makes a weird clicking sound, but we’re used to it. We try to keep things very simple and honest. If a student is struggling, we sit down and talk it out over some tea. That is just how we do things here in New Ashok Nagar.
