Hotel Intrcontinental The Grand, New Delhi

Even though we are associated with Hotel Intrcontinental The Grand in New Delhi, our base for this is actually at 197/4 in the New Sarvodya Colony in Meerut. Jitender Singh Bisht, the son of Mr. Kunwar Bisht, manages things from here. It is a long way from the big hotel lobby in the city, but this is where the local work happens. Meerut has its own pace, and New Sarvodya Colony is a typical neighborhood where everyone knows each other. We work out of a modest space, far from the marble floors you might expect. It’s mostly about managing the details and keeping the records straight. We’ve been part of this community for a long time. The office is just a regular room with the basics—a desk, some chairs, and a lot of patience. Sometimes the commute to Delhi is a hassle, but we manage. We don’t have a big team of polished executives here. It’s just us, dealing with the day-to-day tasks that come with the hospitality business. It’s practical, slightly messy sometimes, and very real. We don't use big words or try to impress anyone. We just do the work we were hired to do. If you walk through the colony, you’ll see it’s a quiet place, which is nice after a long day of dealing with the city rush. We just keep things moving from our side of the world.
