Hotel Intercontinental The Grand

This is our small office in Mhada Colony, specifically Flat 404 in Building 2B. We deal with stuff for Hotel Intercontinental The Grand from here in Andheri East. It is a bit of a climb if the lift is acting up, which happens sometimes. Mahakali Caves Road is always noisy with traffic, but once you are inside the flat, it is mostly quiet. We aren't the actual hotel with the big suites; we are the ones handling the paperwork and small logistics. It is a simple setup. A couple of desks, some old computers, and lots of files. We have been here in Mumbai-93 for a good while now. Most of the staff lives nearby, so we just walk or take an auto. It feels more like a home than a workplace, which is nice in a way. We have tea breaks together and talk about the weekend. It isn't a high-rise glass building. Just a regular apartment where we get our work done for the hotel. We keep things moving as best as we can from this corner of the city. There is a small balcony where we keep a few plants, though they don't get much sun. We use the dining table for big meetings when we have them. It is not fancy at all, but we manage to stay organized. Sometimes the neighbor's dog barks during our calls, but we just laugh it off. It is just how it is working here.
