Hotel Imperial Palace

We have been running things here at Hotel Imperial Palace for quite a while now. You can find us at Kerala House, room number 106, which is inside Jamuna Prasad Chawl in the Mograpada area of Andheri East. It is a very busy part of the city, so there is always noise and people moving around outside our door. Our setup is pretty simple and we don't have those fancy lobbies or huge glass windows you see in the big hotels downtown. We just have our rooms and we try to keep them as clean as we can for anyone staying with us. Usually, it is my cousin or me sitting at the small desk near the entrance. We have a ledger where we write down names and dates by hand because we don't really use those complicated computer systems. Sometimes the water pressure is a bit low in the mornings but we get it fixed as soon as we can. There is a tea stall just around the corner that we go to a lot. We know most of the people living in the chawl, so it feels like a real neighborhood here. If you are coming from the station, it is just a short walk, though the lanes can be a bit confusing if you haven't been here before. We don't have a big sign outside, just a small one near the gate. It is just a basic place to stay while you are doing your work in Mumbai.
