So, we are over at 449 Laxmi Bai Nagar. It’s a decent spot in New Delhi, though the traffic around here can be a real headache some mornings. We’ve been running Hotel Hans Plaza for a while. It’s not one of those massive towers you see downtown; it’s more of a local building that fits into the neighborhood. We spend most of our time making sure the rooms are ready and that the plumbing is behaving itself. It’s an old building, so there’s always something that needs a bit of a fix. We don't have a bunch of staff in uniforms or anything like that. It’s just a few of us who show up every day to keep the place running. People find us when they need a place to crash that isn't too far from the central parts of the city. We keep a logbook at the front desk and try to remember the faces of folks who come back. The rooms are basic, just a bed and a place to put your bags. We don't do anything flashy. Sometimes the tea runs out or the Wi-Fi acts up, but we try to sort it out fast. It’s a lot of walking up and down the stairs for us. We just keep at it because it’s our job. It’s a bit dusty sometimes because of the roadwork nearby, but we sweep it out and keep moving.
