Hotel Castel Mandawa

Our hotel, Castel Mandawa, is situated in Rajokari, which is right on the edge of New Delhi. It’s a busy part of town because it’s so close to the highway and the airport, so there’s always the sound of traffic nearby. We aren't one of those five-star places with gold-plated sinks. We’re a more basic establishment where you can get a room without spending a fortune. The building itself is sturdy, though we’re always fixing something, whether it’s a leaky tap or a lightbulb that’s gone out. Most of our guests are just passing through Delhi and need a place to crash for a night or two before their flight. We have a small crew here, and we all pitch in with everything. One day I might be behind the desk, and the next day I’m helping the cook in the kitchen. It’s a bit chaotic sometimes, especially when a large group shows up unannounced, but we find a way to make it work. We don't have a fancy website with professional photos that make everything look perfect. What you see is what you get. It’s just a honest place to stay where the rooms are clean and the staff will actually talk to you like a person. We have a few chairs out front where you can sit and watch the world go by while you wait for your taxi.
