Hotel Ashok,Newdelhi

Our office is on the top floor of Jf/3B in Khirki Extension. It's right in Malviya Nagar. Newdelhi-17 is a busy area to be in. We are tucked away on that top floor, so we get a bit of a view of the rooftops. It’s a lot of stairs to climb every day. We don't have an elevator. It keeps us fit, I guess. The office itself is just a few rooms. We have some old desks and chairs that have seen better days. We do a lot of the work for the hotel from here. It’s a bit far from the actual hotel building, but it works for the administrative stuff. The fans hum all day long. Sometimes we have to shout over them to be heard. We have stacks of paperwork everywhere. It’s a bit messy, but we know where everything is. The neighbors in Khirki are mostly other small businesses or families. It’s a tight-knit spot. We go downstairs for lunch at the local stalls. The food is good and cheap. We don’t have a big fancy lobby here. It’s just a door with a small sign. We’ve been here for years. Most of us have worked together for a long time. We don't use much fancy software. Mostly we just write things down and make calls. It’s a simple way to run things. We like the routine of it. It feels like a real job.
