Hotel Amar

Hotel Amar is located at 516 Sultan Pura. We are right in the Agra Cantt area. If you are coming into Agra by train, we aren't too far from the station. The neighborhood is Sultan Pura, which is a busy part of town with lots of people coming and going. We have been here for a good while. The building has its own character, it’s not one of those new glass boxes you see in the big cities. We keep things simple for the folks who stay with us. There’s a bit of a lobby where people sit and wait, and the staff is usually around the corner. We don't have a fancy website with professional photos, we just keep the rooms ready. Agra gets very hot in the summer, so we deal with a lot of air conditioning maintenance. Sultan Pura can be noisy with the rickshaws and traffic, but that’s the life of the city. We have some regular guests who have been coming here for years. They know the layout of the place as well as we do. It’s a family-run kind of vibe. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just provide a place to sleep and a bit of help with directions if someone needs to see the Taj. It’s a practical business in a historic city. We focus on the basics and try to be helpful when people ask us things.
