Hospitality

This is our place in Village Nah, which is under Post Nah in the Aligarh district of Uttar Pradesh. It’s quite far from the big city lights of Delhi. Here in Aligarh, things move at a much slower pace. Our business, simply called Hospitality, is run right out of the village. It’s not a hotel with a lobby or a uniform-clad staff. It’s more about the rural way of doing things. The air is a bit cleaner here, and you can see the fields from just a short walk away. We started this because there wasn't much around for people passing through. The building is a traditional structure, with thick walls and high ceilings to keep the heat out during the summer months. We don't have a website or a social media manager. Most of the people who come here heard about us from someone else in the district. It’s a very practical way to live and work. We spend a lot of our time making sure the basic things are taken care of—food, a place to sit, and a bit of conversation. It’s not polished, and sometimes the power is out for half the day, but that’s just how it is in the village. We like the quiet life here in Nah. It’s honest work, and we don't feel the need to make it sound like something it isn't. We just take it day by day and help where we can.
