You can find our office at D-38/122 in the Bansphatak area of Varanasi, right near the Ram Mandir. It is a very old part of the city, so the streets are narrow and always full of people, cows, and rickshaws. We run Highland Holiday from a small room that is basically packed with old maps and notebooks. It’s not a fancy corporate travel office with a shiny front desk. Most of the time, the desk is covered in half-finished tea cups and train schedules we printed out. We spend our days helping people figure out how to get around U.P. or where to stay when they go up north. It gets very loud outside with all the temple bells and people shouting, but we’re used to the noise by now. We aren't a huge agency; it's just a few of us who know the local routes and the best times to avoid the crowds. Sometimes the internet goes down and we have to do everything by phone, which can be a real headache. But we’ve been doing this long enough to know how to handle it. Varanasi is a place that moves at its own pace, and we just try to keep up with it. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything. People usually find us because someone else told them we could help. It’s a busy, dusty, and honest way to make a living.
