If you look for us at Khel Gaon Marg, we are in Flat No. 2 right near the ITI. It is an older building and our office feels very lived-in. There are maps pinned to the walls and stacks of brochures that have been there for months. We spend most of our time talking to people about trips and trying to figure out bus or train timings. The phones are usually busy and there is a lot of shouting back and forth across the room to check on bookings. It is not a corporate setup with glass walls; it is more like a home that turned into a workspace. We have plenty of dusty files about different routes and hotels. When the monsoon hits, the windows rattle quite a bit. We drink a lot of chai while looking at computer screens all day. It can be stressful when a trip doesn't go as planned, so we are always making backup calls to drivers or local guides. The area around Khel Gaon is nice, but we are mostly stuck inside dealing with the logistics of travel. We don't have a big marketing team, just a few of us who know how to read a map and use a phone. Most people find us through word of mouth or by just walking past the ITI. We just keep doing what we do, day in and day out. There is always a lot of paper on the floor.
