Hewitt Associates (India) Pvt.Ltd.

Up on the first floor here in Lane 08, things stay pretty busy most of the time. We are right in the middle of Krishna Nagar, Safdarjung Enclave, and if you know this part of New Delhi, you know how the traffic can get. It is just a regular office space at 232 where we handle all the Hewitt Associates stuff for the India branch. There are about ten of us usually sitting around the desks, typing away or talking on the phones. The building isn't brand new or anything, it has that lived-in feel with some cracks in the plaster and a staircase that is a bit narrow when two people try to pass each other. We have been in this spot for a while now, so we know the tea stall guy around the corner quite well. He brings over chai around eleven in the morning. It’s not like those big corporate buildings you see in Gurgaon with glass walls. We just have normal windows looking out onto the street. You can hear the scooters and the occasional vegetable seller shouting down below. Sometimes the internet acts up, or the power goes for a bit, but we just keep going. We deal with a lot of data and people things, mostly on computers. It is steady work, nothing too flashy, just what you would expect from a local office in this part of town. We try to keep things organized even when the desk piles up with folders.
