You can find us at 60/C in the Prateek Market area of Munirka. It’s a very busy part of New Delhi and there is always something going on outside our doors. There are people coming in and out all day long for all kinds of bank stuff like depositing money or asking about their accounts. We have the counters where the tellers sit and a few desks for the rest of us in the back. The market outside is always noisy with vendors and cars, so there’s a lot of energy around the building from early morning until late evening. We spend a lot of time counting cash and checking ID papers to make sure everything is legal. It’s just regular bank work that needs to be done. The 110067 area gets very crowded during the lunch hour when everyone is out and about. We try to keep the lines moving so people don't get frustrated standing around. Sometimes the computers go slow and we have to apologize to the folks waiting in the queue. We’ve got the usual glass partitions and the heavy doors you see at any bank. Most of the people who come in live right here in Munirka, so we see the same neighbors every week and know their faces. We stay busy with the paperwork and making sure the ATM outside has enough money in it for the weekend. It’s a practical job and we just try to be helpful when someone can’t figure out a form. We close up when the sun goes down.
