Our branch is tucked away at K-3/4 on Street Number 9 in Gangotri Vihar. This is part of West Ghonda, over on the Shahdara side of Delhi. The pin code is 110053. It can be a bit of a maze back here if you aren’t looking closely at the street signs. Street Number 9 is usually pretty packed with bikes and people walking to the local shops. We spend most of our day inside this building. It is not a huge skyscraper, just a regular spot on a regular street. Often, the tea stall down the road is the busiest place around here. Being in Shahdara means we see all sorts of people every day. The address looks long when you write it on an envelope, but once you find K-3/4, you have made it. We have the usual stuff inside like computers, desks, and some chairs for people who have to wait. The air conditioning works most of the time. That is a real blessing during the Delhi summer heat. It is a working-class neighborhood. Things move at their own pace. There is always someone shouting outside or a bike bell ringing. It isn't the quietest place in the world, but it is where we are. We have been here at Hdfc Bank Ltd. for a while now, just handling the daily paperwork and talking to folks from West Ghonda. It is a normal office in a normal part of East Delhi. We just keep our heads down and work.
