Our place at 6376 Naya Bans is right in the heart of Old Delhi, so you can imagine the noise and the energy outside every single day. This part of Delhi 110006 is famous for being crowded, and our street is no different. You have to navigate through narrow lanes and dodge rickshaws just to get to the front door. Inside, it is a bit quieter, though you can still hear the shouting of vendors and the honking of horns from the main road. The building is old, like most things around here, and has that specific smell of old wood and stone. We have our equipment set up in a way that maximizes the small space we have. It is not a modern office building with elevators and shiny floors. We take the stairs and watch our step on the uneven tiles. Most of the people working here have lived in Delhi their whole lives, so the chaos doesn't really bother us anymore. We just get on with the tasks at hand. There is a lot of paper moving around and people checking lists. During the summer, the fans stay on high speed all day, but it still gets quite warm. We usually get our lunch from the local shops nearby because the food in Naya Bans is hard to beat. It is a simple setup for a hard day’s work and we have been here long enough that it feels like home.
