This is the HCL Technologies BPO Services Ltd. office over in Hindon Colony. If you know Mohan Nagar in Ghaziabad, you know it’s a busy area. Our building at 81/2 isn't hard to find, but the roads around here can be a bit of a mess with all the construction and traffic. Inside, it’s mostly just rows of desks and people on headsets. We’ve been here for a good while. It's a bit of a commute for some of us coming from other parts of U.P. or Delhi, but we make it work. The office has that typical feel—bright lights and the sound of typing. We aren't here to give you a sales pitch. We just handle the back-end stuff that needs doing. Sometimes the power goes out and the backup generators kick in with a loud hum. It’s just part of life in Ghaziabad. We take our lunch breaks together and usually talk about the heat or the latest cricket scores. It’s a pretty down-to-earth group of people here. We don't have a lot of fancy decorations on the walls. Mostly just some notices and maybe a calendar. It feels like a second home to a lot of us because we spend so much time here. We just try to do the work and get home before the evening rush hour gets too bad. It’s simple.
