It is an interesting place to work because we deal with outdoor stuff but we are based right here in the middle of a busy area. Behind Om Mandir is usually a good landmark to tell people when they get lost looking for us. The office is full of gear like ropes, harnesses, and some tents that we are checking for holes. It smells a bit like canvas and old rubber. We spend a lot of time talking to schools and groups about their trips. There is always someone coming in to pick up equipment or drop it back off. The floor usually has some dirt on it because of all the boots coming through. We have a couple of wooden tables where we sit and plan the routes. Kingsway Camp is a lively place to be. We have a small stove in the back to make tea for visitors. It is not a polished showroom. It is more of a workshop where things actually happen. We have maps pinned to the walls with highlighter marks all over them. Sometimes the bins of gear get mixed up and we have to spend the whole afternoon sorting carabiners from pulleys. It is hard work but it is what we do. We have been in this Dhakka location for some time, and the local shopkeepers all know us by now.
