Grand Intercontinental (The Lalit)

This office is situated at 5212 in the Ashok Nagar area of New Delhi. It is one of the administrative spots for the Grand Intercontinental, which many people know as The Lalit. While the hotel itself is a grand place, this specific location is where a lot of the logistical and paperwork side of things gets handled. It is a fairly normal building in a busy part of town. Inside, the rooms are filled with desks and tall stacks of files related to bookings, supplies, and staff schedules. We do not have the fancy lobby or the chandeliers here; it is more about the computers and the phones. Ashok Nagar is a crowded place, so there is always the sound of horns and people outside. We have a small crew working here, and we usually take our breaks at the local tea shop around the corner. The office has that lived-in feel with posters taped to the walls and mismatched chairs in the meeting room. It is a lot of data entry and phone calls to make sure the main hotel operations are supported properly. We deal with vendors and handle the various bits of administration that keep a large hospitality business going. It is not a glamorous part of the job, but it is necessary work. We just show up, do what needs to be done for the day, and then lock up the office in the evening.
