About Govt. Office (In Library Field) – Tourism in Delhi
This government office is located in Gali Number 8 in Amrit Vihar, which is up in the Burari area. We work in the library field, so our days are mostly spent around books, records, and catalogs. Amrit Vihar is a bit on the outskirts, and the lanes can be quite dusty and narrow. It’s a very quiet part of town compared to the main city markets. The office itself is a simple government building with high ceilings and old wooden shelves. There is a lot of history in the documents we handle here. We don't have air conditioning in every room, so we rely on the ceiling fans to stay cool during the summer. The staff here has been working together for years, so we’re like a small family. We follow the official procedures for everything, which takes time, but that’s how it works. There are usually stacks of books waiting to be sorted or labeled. Sometimes students or researchers come by to look for something specific. We help them out as much as we can. It’s not a fast-paced environment. We value the quiet and the order of the library. It’s a humble place where we just do our part for the community. The commute to Burari can be long for some of us, but we’re used to it now. We also have a small garden area outside where we sit during our lunch break to get some fresh air.
