This is the office for the Government of Sikkim, but we’re actually located right in the middle of New Delhi. You can find us at D21B on the second floor of the Central Market in Lajpat Nagar-2. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs, and being in Central Market means it is always crowded outside. There are shoppers everywhere and a lot of noise, but once you get up to the second floor, it gets a little quieter. We handle a lot of administrative stuff here for the state. It’s mostly documents, stamps, and people coming in to get their paperwork sorted out. The office isn't very large, and the desks are usually covered in files and folders that need looking at. We try to keep things moving along, though government work sometimes takes its own time. The location is convenient because of the metro and the buses, but parking is a nightmare in Lajpat Nagar. Most of us just take the train to work. We’ve been in this spot for quite a while now. It’s a functional space where we handle the day-to-day business that comes our way. We don't have any fancy decorations, just the basic office furniture and the stuff we need to get through the work week. It’s just us doing our part for the Sikkim government from here in the capital, trying to keep everything in order.
