Our office is on the 3rd floor of the M-97 building in Hari Nagar. This part of New Delhi is pretty packed with old buildings and small businesses. We’ve been here for a bit, handling the outsourcing work that comes our way. It’s not a fancy spot. You have to climb the stairs to get up to us on the third floor. The rooms are filled with desks and people either on headsets or typing away on their keyboards. We deal with a lot of different tasks for other companies. It might be data entry one day or something else entirely the next. It’s the kind of work that requires a lot of focus and a lot of sitting. The street outside is always noisy with cars, rickshaws, and people selling things. We’ve gotten used to the sound of the city filtering through the windows. We aren't a huge corporation with a lobby and a receptionist. It's just a practical space where we get things done. Most of the staff brings their own lunch from home and we eat together in the small break area in the back. It’s a simple life. We make sure the computers are working and the internet stays on. That’s the most important thing for us. If the power goes out, we have to wait for the generator. We just keep our heads down and work through the lists we get every day. It’s regular Delhi life, nothing more and nothing less.
