Our office is tucked away in Janakpuri, specifically at 5A, Pocket C5B. It’s a bit of a quiet corner of New Delhi compared to the actual airport terminals, but this is where we get all the background work done. Managing an airport involves a mountain of paperwork and people talking on phones all day long. We’ve been here for a while and the staff knows the local area well. We usually grab lunch from the nearby stalls and deal with the typical Delhi traffic every morning on the way in. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find pilots or flight attendants, just regular people in an office setting. Sometimes the power goes out or the internet gets slow, and we just have to wait it out like everyone else. We don't have any fancy mission statements on the walls. We just try to stay organized so that the bigger operations at the airport don't run into trouble. Janakpuri is a busy residential and commercial mix, so there’s always something happening outside our window. It’s a lot of coordination between different teams, and it can get a bit loud in the office when things are busy. We just keep at it, day in and day out, making sure the files are in order and the schedules are met. The work never really stops because the planes never stop landing.
