Our shop is at number 10 on the Mayur Vihar II Main Road. Being right on the main road means there’s a constant hum of cars and buses passing by. It’s quite dusty, so I have to wipe down the glass display cases every single morning. We sell all the usual things—mobile phones, headphones, those little Bluetooth speakers that everyone seems to want now. Most of the day is spent talking to people who stop in on their way home from the metro station. They usually need a quick fix, like a new screen guard or a charger because they left theirs at the office. The shop is narrow, so if there are more than five people inside, it feels very full. I keep a lot of stock in the back, mostly different models of phones and batteries. It’s a lot of repetitive work, scanning barcodes and filling out warranty cards. I’ve got a small repair bench in the corner where I do the basic stuff like swapping out buttons or fixing charging ports. The light in here is a bit bright because of the overhead tubes, but it helps when you’re looking at small parts. It’s just a regular local shop, nothing fancy about it. We’ve been here long enough that the regulars know they can just pop in for a quick chat while they wait for their phone to charge. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons.
