Our office is tucked away in Vasant Kunj, New Delhi, specifically in Sector A, Pocket B&C. It’s flat number 1047. It’s a bit of a maze back here if you aren't used to the pocket layouts, but once you find the building, it’s pretty straightforward. We deal with ground handling and aviation stuff, so there’s a lot of talk about flight times and airport logistics. The office itself is quite plain, mostly just desks pushed against the walls and a lot of filing cabinets filled with old records. We don’t have a big reception area or anything. You just walk in and we’re all there working. It gets pretty hot in the summer, and we rely on a couple of fans to keep the air moving while we track movements and handle the paperwork. Most of the people working here have been around for years, so we all know the routine. We spend a lot of time on the phone with the airport and other agencies. It’s not the kind of job with a lot of glamour, just a lot of checking lists and making sure the numbers match up. We eat our lunch together sometimes when it’s not too busy. It’s a quiet enough spot for the most part, though the phones never really stop for long during the peak flight hours.
