Global Travel Desak

We are set up in Room 108 over at Narmada Hostel within the JNU campus in New Delhi. It’s a bit of an interesting spot to have an office, being inside a university area like that. Global Travel Desak has been around this part of the campus for a while. Usually, it’s a lot of students and researchers coming by to ask about trips or how to get home for the holidays. The atmosphere here is quite different from the rest of Delhi. It’s a bit more relaxed, but there’s always a lot of studying and talking going on. Our desk isn't very large, and it’s often covered in papers and notes we’ve taken while talking to people. We don't really do the whole professional corporate look. We prefer just sitting down and figuring out the best way for someone to travel without it costing too much. Being in Narmada Hostel means we’re right in the middle of things. We hear the noises from the canteen and the students walking by all day. It’s a simple way to spend the day, really. We just take one request at a time and try to make sense of the travel schedules. Sometimes the internet is slow or things get a bit disorganized, but we always manage to sort it out in the end. It’s just how we operate in this little corner of the university. No big fuss, just a lot of practical work.
