Ginger Hotel, New Delhi

Our place, Ginger Hotel, sits right in the middle of Lakshmi Nagar in New Delhi. Specifically, we are at C-15/A in Aruna Park. If you know this area, you know it is always crowded and full of energy. We have been operating from this building for some time now. It’s a practical location for people who have business in East Delhi. We aren't trying to be a luxury resort. It is just a building with rooms for people who need them. Most days involve us checking people in and out and making sure the laundry is done. The neighborhood is full of shops and little eateries, so our guests never go hungry. We keep the place as clean as we can. It’s a bit of a walk from the main road, but not too far. We see all kinds of people here, from students to folks traveling for weddings. The rooms have the usual stuff you’d expect. Nothing fancy, just functional. We do the maintenance ourselves mostly. Sometimes a lightbulb goes out or a tap drips, and we just fix it. It's a hands-on kind of business. We like the bustle of Aruna Park. It makes the day go by fast. If you are looking for a spot that is easy on the pocket and close to the markets, this is where we are. We just keep our heads down and do the work every day. It's been our way for years.
