Genpact

Our place is at 177/1 in Harinagar, right by the Ashram area in New Delhi 14. It is a busy part of the city, and the office here is always humming with people. We do a lot of data work and back-office stuff that keeps bigger things running. It is not always the most exciting work, but it is important and we do it every single day. The building is just a regular one in Harinagar. We have rows of desks and computers where everyone sits for their shifts. Sometimes the tea man comes around and that is the best part of the afternoon. We have people coming in at all hours because the work does not really stop. Ashram is a landmark that everyone knows, so it makes it easy for people to find us. We do not have a lot of decorations or fancy art on the walls. It is a workspace meant for working. We deal with numbers and processes and making sure the clients get what they need on time. It is a big team but we try to keep it friendly. Most of us have been working here for a while and we know the routine. It is just a steady job in a steady part of town. We are not trying to change the world, just doing our bit in New Delhi. It is just a regular workplace for us.
