Gee-Gee Communication

Gee-Gee Communication is found in Karawal Nagar at A-14/A in the Rama Garden area. It is a very typical shop for this part of the city. We have a glass counter right at the front where we keep the different mobile phone models and all the little accessories. Most people come in because they need a quick recharge or because they dropped their phone and the screen is now cracked. It gets very hot in Karawal Nagar during the summer, so we usually have a small plastic fan running behind the counter all day long. The walls are covered with posters for different mobile networks, and many of them are starting to look a bit old and faded now. We spend a lot of our time just chatting with the people who live in the surrounding streets. It is a friendly neighborhood. We do not have a large staff, just a few of us who know how to handle the basic repairs. Sometimes the parts we order take a few days to arrive by mail, so we have to tell our customers to come back later in the week. The street outside is always full of motorcycles and people walking to the local market. We open up the shop early in the morning and stay until the sun goes down and it gets dark. There is a lot of paperwork to deal with sometimes when people want new SIM cards, but we manage to get it done. We keep a small stool near the door for when the inside gets too crowded.
