Ge India has a local office here at House 187 on the first floor of Plot Number 387 in Chand Nagar. It’s right near Tilak Nagar in New Delhi. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs to get to us, and the railing is a little loose. The area is very local and residential, with small shops and vendors all around the building. It doesn't look like a global company from the outside, but inside we are busy with all sorts of industrial and technical work. We have a lot of spare parts, tools, and diagrams lying around the desks. It’s a bit of a tight fit with all the equipment we have to store. We often have to navigate the narrow streets of Chand Nagar just to get to the main road, which is a headache during peak hours. The office is just a regular floor in a house, so it feels quite cozy in a way. We know the neighbors and the local tea stall owner who brings us snacks. We spend our time working on projects and talking to clients on the phone. It’s not a polished corporate headquarters with glass walls. It’s just where we do the engineering and support work. Sometimes it gets a bit loud when the market nearby is in full swing or when someone is moving furniture upstairs. We just get on with it. There’s a lot of focus on the technical details here. We don't have a big HR department. It's just a group of us working in a residential neighborhood.
