Gauri Travels ,Haridwar

Gauri Travels is a small operation I run, and even though the name says Haridwar, I am actually based here in New Delhi. It’s a bit confusing for some people, but most of our work involves taking folks from the city up to the holy sites. I don't really have a big office building to show you. It’s mostly just me on my mobile phone, coordinating with drivers and making sure the cars are ready for the morning. I spend a lot of my day talking to people who want to go on a pilgrimage or just a family trip to the hills. I’ve lived in Delhi for a long time, so I know the roads pretty well. This isn't some big travel agency with hundreds of employees. It’s just a one-man show for the most part, though I have some reliable drivers I call when a booking comes in. I don’t use any fancy booking software, just a notebook where I write everything down so I don't forget the dates and times. Sometimes things get hectic when everyone wants to go to Haridwar at the same time during the holidays. I just try to be honest with people about the timing and the heavy traffic. It’s a simple business, really. I just want to make sure the car shows up on time and the person gets to their destination safely. That’s about all there is to it with Gauri Travels.
