Our place is in Basaidarapur, which is over in the Ramesh Nagar area of New Delhi. It is a real working-class neighborhood. The office at Wz-487 is usually full of boxes and paper stacks. We are a logistics company, so there is always someone moving something around. It is a bit dusty because of all the trucks and the traffic on the main road. We do not have a fancy entrance with a receptionist. You usually just walk in and see someone at a desk covered in manifests. Ramesh Nagar is always busy, so there is a lot of noise from the street. We spend our time tracking shipments and talking to drivers. It is a lot of coordination. Sometimes a package gets delayed or a truck breaks down, and then the phones do not stop ringing. We just deal with it one thing at a time. The office is small and a bit cramped, but it works for us. We have a small area in the back where we keep the essential tools. We do not put on any acts here. It is just plain work. Most of the guys have been working in logistics for years and know the city like the back of their hand. We drink our tea standing up half the time because there is so much to do. It is a grit-and-grind kind of life in this part of Delhi. We just make sure the goods get where they are going.
