G B International is situated in the Lodhi Road Complex in New Delhi 110003. It’s a pretty decent area with lots of trees and old buildings around us. Our office is just one of many in this large complex. It’s got that typical government-area feel to it, very steady and quiet. We’ve been operating from here for a good while. The interior is mostly grey and blue with standard office furniture that has been around for years. We handle international business matters, so there is a lot of emailing people in different countries. Sometimes we stay late because of the time differences. There’s a small canteen in the complex where we all go to get samosas and tea in the morning. The security guards at the gate know most of us by name now. It’s not a flashy place with neon signs or anything. We just have our name on a small plaque by the door. The windows look out onto some of the greenery, which is nice when the weather is clear. We have a few cupboards full of old files that we really should sort through one day. Mostly, it’s just a group of us sitting at our computers and making sure the shipments and documents are all in order. It’s a predictable and honest way to spend the work week in the city.
