Fun Cinemas

Fun Cinemas is located at Kg-1/110 in Vikas Puri, and it’s a place that most people in the neighborhood have walked past a thousand times. Running a cinema sounds exciting, but for us, it’s mostly about managing the crowds and making sure the projectors don’t fail in the middle of a show. We spend a lot of time on our feet, whether it’s at the ticket counter or checking the rows of seats after a movie ends. The building itself has been around for a while, so there’s always something that needs a bit of a fix, like a squeaky door or a flickering light in the hallway. We have a small crew of people who work different shifts, and we’ve become a bit like a family because of all the late nights we spend here. The smell of popcorn is something that stays on your clothes long after you go home. On weekends, the lobby gets incredibly crowded and it can be a bit overwhelming, but we just try to keep the lines moving as fast as we can. We don't have some big corporate strategy. We just want the movies to play on time and the seats to be clean for the next group. It's a lot of physical work and sometimes we get pretty tired, but it’s part of the job. Vikas Puri is a busy area, and being a part of the local entertainment scene is just what we do every day.
