Front Office Manager

I work as the Front Office Manager over at 4 Queens Road in the city of Amritsar. It is a good, central location in Punjab, and our pin code is 143001. Being right on Queens Road means there are always people walking by on the sidewalk and cars honking in the street. My work day usually starts at the front desk, often with a tall stack of papers and a phone that seems to never stop ringing. It is not exactly a glamorous job, but I like being the first person that people see when they walk through the doors. The building is one of those older ones, with high ceilings and those heavy wooden doors that can be a bit hard to push open. We do not have a huge team here, so I often end up doing a bit of everything throughout the day. Sometimes I am sorting through the mail, and other times I am helping a visitor find their way around the local area. Amritsar is a very bustling and lively place, and our office feels like it is right in the heart of all that energy. We have a small waiting area for guests with some old magazines and a simple water cooler in the corner. It is a very practical and basic setup for an office. I spend a lot of time on the computer, but the best part is talking to the locals who drop in. It is just a busy, honest job on a very busy street.
