Front Office Assistent

Fine Home is located in New Delhi, and that is where I work as the Front Office Assistent. The place is basically a guest house or a small apartment setup where people come to stay. My desk is right at the entrance, so I am the first person people see when they walk in. I spend my day checking people in, taking their ID copies, and handing out keys. It is a pretty simple job, but it stays busy. I also have to handle the phone calls and answer questions about how to get to the metro or where the nearest market is. Fine Home is not a big five-star place. It is more of a comfortable, local spot for people who want something quiet. I try to keep the lobby area clean, but with people coming in from the dusty streets of Delhi, it is a constant battle. Sometimes the reservations get mixed up or someone loses their key, and I have to sort it out. I do not use any fancy scripts when I talk to guests. I just try to be helpful and get them to their rooms. It is a small team here, so we all end up doing a bit of everything, like helping with bags or checking the kitchen. It is just how we run things.
