Front Office Assistant/Reservation Executive

This is where I work, at 1/9096 D on Street Number 2 in West Rohtas Nagar. It’s right in the Shahdara part of Delhi. My job is basically being the first person people see when they walk in or the first voice they hear on the phone. I handle all the reservations and the front desk stuff. It’s a small office space, so I can see everything that’s going on. It gets pretty loud outside with the street noise of Delhi, but inside we try to keep it organized as best as we can. I spend a lot of my time typing on the computer, writing down names, and checking dates in the ledger. It’s not a corporate skyscraper or anything like that. It’s just a ground-floor spot in a busy neighborhood. I’ve lived around here for a long time, so I know the shortcuts and where to get the best tea nearby when I need a break. Some days are slow and I just tidy up the desk or fix the papers, and other days everyone decides to call or visit at the exact same time. It can be a bit stressful when the phone doesn't stop ringing, but you just take it one person at a time. I don't use a lot of big words or professional scripts. I just talk to people normally and try to help them get their bookings sorted without any unnecessary drama or long wait times.
