Freelancer

I work out of Flat No 23, Plot No 64, in the Vardan Apartment complex. It’s in I.P Extension, Delhi -110092. It’s a residential building, so it’s mostly families living around here. I use the second bedroom as my office space. There’s a desk, a chair that squeaks a bit when I move, and my computer. Freelancer is just the category I fall into, but this is where all the work actually happens. I.P Extension is a pretty good place to be. It has plenty of trees and is relatively quiet compared to other parts of Delhi. I spend a lot of my time right here at the desk. Sometimes I go out to the balcony to get some air when I’ve been staring at the screen for too long. The apartment is comfortable, though it gets a bit cluttered with books and notebooks after a long week. I don't have coworkers to talk to in person, so it’s just me and the occasional sound of the neighbors in the hallway. My address at Vardan Apartment is where everything gets done, from the first email to the final project. It’s a simple way to live and work. I don't have a big office building or a sign outside. People just know me by my work. The 110092 area is home, and it’s also where I earn my living. It’s just a normal apartment where someone happens to work hard.
