I work out of B 4/67 in Safdarjung Enclave, New Delhi. It’s a freelance setup, so it’s mostly just me here at my desk. Safdarjung is a nice, green part of the city, and it’s a bit quieter than the main commercial hubs. My workspace is just a room filled with books, a computer, and way too many charging cables. I don’t have a big staff or a fancy boardroom. If you come by, you’ll probably find me hunched over my laptop with a mug of tea nearby. The life of a freelancer involves a lot of juggling different tasks, so my schedule is never really the same from one day to the next. I handle all my own admin, which means there’s usually a pile of receipts somewhere that I need to organize. There’s no big company sign outside, just the regular door to the flat. It’s a very personal way of working. Sometimes I miss having colleagues to talk to, but I like being able to focus on my own projects. The internet can be a bit spotty when it rains, which is always a bit stressful, but I manage to get things done eventually. I’ve been working from this Safdarjung address for a good few years now. It’s a simple, independent life without any of the corporate politics. I just do the work that comes my way and try to keep everything moving forward.
