Free Lancer

I work out of H.No.5/20 in the Old Double Storey area of New Delhi. It’s a bit of an older building, but it has character. I’ve set up my workspace in a corner where the light is decent during the day. Being a Free Lancer here means my schedule is a bit all over the place. Sometimes I’m up working at 3 AM because that’s when it’s finally quiet outside. The 110024 area code is home for me, and I like that I don't have to commute across the city every morning. My desk is usually covered in notebooks, half-empty water bottles, and chargers for all my gadgets. It’s not a professional corporate setup with a sign out front or anything. It’s just me and my laptop mostly. Sometimes the neighbors’ kids are playing loudly in the hallway, but that’s just part of living and working in a place like this. I handle various projects as they come in. Some weeks I have too much to do, and other weeks I’m just waiting for the phone to ring or an email to pop up. I’ve lived in New Delhi a long time, and this neighborhood feels familiar. I don’t have a big team or a fancy title. I just do the work that people hire me for and try to keep things organized. It’s a simple way to make a living and I enjoy the independence it gives me. I hope to stay in this spot for a while longer.
