Free Lancer

I work out of a small place in Trinagar, specifically at 3444/250. It’s not a big office building or anything, just a room where I can sit and get things done. Delhi 110035 is a crowded area, so there’s always something happening outside the window. Being a Free Lancer means I don't have a big staff or a boss watching over me. It’s just me and the work. My desk is usually covered in papers and coffee mugs. I’ve been in this part of Trinagar for a few years now. The neighborhood is okay, though the parking is a nightmare if you’re trying to visit. I usually tell people it’s better to take the rickshaw from the metro station. I handle a variety of things depending on what people need. Some days are very quiet and I just catch up on reading, while other days the phone won't stop ringing. It’s not a polished business setup. It’s just a practical way for me to earn a living. I don't have a lobby or a receptionist. If the doorbell rings, I’m the one who answers it. I like the flexibility, even if it means working late some nights when a project is due. It’s a basic life here at 3444/250. I keep my tools close and try to stay on top of the list of things to do. It's just a regular workspace in a busy Delhi street. Sometimes I go for a walk in the evenings to clear my head and get some fresh air.
