Flash Tours

Flash Tours is based in Patel Nagar, specifically at 3052/5A on the first floor. I’ve been in this part of New Delhi for a long time and I’ve seen it change quite a bit. Patel Nagar is always moving, with people everywhere and cars honking at all hours. Our office is just a simple room where we plan trips and book tickets for people who want to travel. We aren’t some big website or a corporate agency; we’re just here in the 110008 zip code. I spend a lot of time looking at maps and checking train schedules on the computer. Sometimes people just walk in off the street to ask about a bus to another city or a cheap flight. It’s a lot of talking and trying to find a good way from point A to point B for them. The stairs up to the first floor are a bit steep and narrow, but you get used to them after a few climbs. I usually have the radio on in the background while I work on the bookings. It’s not a fancy place, just a desk, some old travel posters on the wall that are starting to fade, and a computer that’s seen better days. But we get the job done and people usually come back. My neighbor runs a shop downstairs, and we usually grab tea together in the afternoon when things slow down. It’s a very local way of doing business in Delhi. We know the routes and we know how to deal with the chaos.
