Fintex

Our shop, Fintex, is located at 1238B in the Bara Bazar area of Kashmere Gate. If you know the area, you know how crowded it gets with all the vehicles and people moving around. We mostly deal with various materials and supplies that people need for their trades. It’s a small space, typical for this part of Delhi, but we cram a lot of stock into every corner. Most of our days are spent talking to mechanics or small business owners who come looking for specific items. The shelves are packed with rolls and boxes. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find a lot of decorations; it’s more about utility. We spend a lot of time checking lists and making sure we actually have what people are asking for in the back room. Sometimes the traffic outside is so bad that deliveries take twice as long as they should, which can be frustrating. We’ve been at this spot for a while, so we know a lot of the regulars who pass by every day. It’s a lot of standing around and waiting for customers, then suddenly everyone comes in at once. We don't use any fancy computer systems for everything; a lot of it is just written down in our ledgers. It’s a simple way of doing business that seems to work for us in this busy market environment.
