We operate out of House No -11, which is a single-storey place in Vijay Nagar. It’s not your typical glass-and-steel office building. It actually feels more like a home because, well, it is a house. We have our travel desk set up in the main room and the files are kept in what used to be a bedroom. It makes for a very different atmosphere than a corporate park. We are right here in New Delhi, dealing with travel plans and bookings all day long. Sometimes the doorbell rings and it’s just a neighbor or a delivery, not even a client. We like it that way, though. It’s quiet and we can actually hear ourselves think. The single-storey layout means we are all on one level, so we just shout across the hall if we need something from a colleague. We don't have a mission statement hanging on the wall. Instead, we have a bunch of calendars and maps pinned up. Most of the people who work here live within a few kilometers, so we are a local bunch. We just handle the itineraries, book the tickets, and try to make sure nobody gets stuck at an airport. It’s a lot of typing and checking dates over and over. Vijay Nagar is a good spot for us, and we’ve been in this house for quite some time now. It’s simple, honest work.
