Fame Multiplex

Fame Multiplex is tucked away in Khirki Village, right by Malvya Nagar. It’s an interesting spot because you have the old village feel right next to the busy city life. Our place has been around for a while, showing movies and selling popcorn to whoever walks through the door. The lobby is usually full of people on the weekends, mostly kids and families from the nearby houses. We have to sweep up a lot of spilled snacks after every show, which is probably the least fun part of the job. The projectors need a lot of looking after so they don't break down in the middle of a film. We have a small staff of locals who help out with tickets and cleaning. It’s not a very quiet place to work, especially when the big action movies are playing. The sound carries through the walls quite a bit. We don't really have a big corporate plan or anything. We just want to make sure the screens are working and the seats are somewhat comfortable. Some of the older seats have a bit of wear and tear, but they still work fine. We’re just a regular neighborhood theater where people come to hang out for a couple of hours. It’s a practical business and it keeps us busy from afternoon until late at night. We just keep the doors open and the lights on for the local crowd and movie fans.
