The name of the street always gets a laugh from people who aren't from around here. We are located at A-11, Ashok Mohalla, specifically on Bhooton Wali Gali in Nangloi. Yes, it translates to "Ghost Street," but I haven't seen any ghosts since I started working here for Emarald Group Of Hotels & Resorts. It’s just a regular, busy street in Delhi-41. Our office is where all the planning happens for our various properties. We deal with everything from room rates to fixing broken air conditioners. It’s a bit of a maze getting here if you don't know the lanes of Nangloi, but we like it. The office is simple—just some desks, computers, and a lot of paperwork. We aren't looking to be the biggest hotel group in the world, just one that works properly. We spend a lot of time talking to vendors and making sure the resorts have what they need. Sometimes the neighbors’ kids are playing outside and it gets noisy, but that’s just the neighborhood vibe. The building at A-11 isn't very tall, but you can see the whole area from the roof. We go up there sometimes when we need a break from the computers. We don't have a professional cleaning crew coming in every night. We just tidy up our own desks before we leave. It’s a simple, honest setup. We have our tea together in the afternoon and talk about what needs to be fixed next.
