Our office is situated at J-1/285 in the DDA Flats in Kalkaji, New Delhi. It is a residential area, so it feels very different from those big glass office buildings you see in other parts of the city. We have turned this flat into a workspace where we handle all our daily tasks. There are desks squeezed into the rooms and files stacked up on the shelves. It’s a bit cramped sometimes, but we are used to it by now. Kalkaji is a busy neighborhood and there is always something going on outside on the street. We mostly deal with property matters and the paperwork that comes with it. It involves a lot of reading through documents and making sure all the signatures are in the right places. We don't have a fancy coffee machine, just a kettle in the corner of the room. Sometimes the neighbors come by to say hello or ask about something. It is a very grounded way to work. We spend hours on the computer and talking to people on the phone. The stairs in the building are a bit narrow, so carrying heavy boxes of files up here can be a real workout for us. We don’t have any marketing people or a big sales pitch. We just sit here and do the work that needs to be done every day. It’s a practical setup that works for us. We’ve been in these DDA flats for quite some time.
